ANSI, the African Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO), and the African Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW) hosted a Non-sewered Sanitation Standards in Action: From Adoption to Impact session during the 20th African Water Association International Congress and Exhibition February 2020 in Kampala, Uganda.

On World Toilet Day (November 19, 2019), the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) organized a workshop with stakeholders to raise awareness of the importance of a toilet for every family and individual. A toilet impacts cultural life as well as economic, environmental and social situations.

ANSI is excited to attend the ARSO THC 09-3 meeting in Tanzania on July 30-31, 2019 to review and discuss ISO 30500 and ISO 24521, along with ISO 24510 and ISO 24511. We look forward to engaging with national standards bodies and sanitation experts from across the African continent!
